Family Violence Project

Project Description and Deliverables

The Family Violence Project is funded by the Commonwealth Attorney-General and the State Government Department of Justice. 

We provide free legal advice, information, referrals and where appropriate, casework and representation at Court. 

We also manage the Family Violence Duty Lawyer service at Bacchus Marsh Magistrates’ Court and have expanded our work to include family violence legal outreach clinics in partnership with the Sunshine Hospital and Mooroobool Shire Early Years Service. 

Project Status

We continue to work closely with our clients, partners, and stakeholders in our community to address family violence in a holistic and integrated way. 

Partnerships

BMCLC has entered into strong partnerships with Sunshine Hospital, Mooroobool Shire Early Years Service to deliver family violence based legal services within a health justice setting.  We continue to work closely with our clients, partners, and stakeholders in our community to address family violence in a holistic and integrated way.
